All this hard work for nothing...

I called home to ask how Amelia was doing on the potty today.
Deija says that she's been in a diaper ever since she woke up.
Albert had told me this morning that he had taken her to the potty and that Deija took her once.
Of course I had to confront him about it.
He said he took her diaper off but that Amelia must have put it back on.
Yeah right!!! Like I'm an idiot to believe that.

I told him that I've been working so hard for a week now and he's ruining her progress by keeping her in a diaper all day.

He responded by saying that Amelia isn't ready and I'm forcing her.
Amelia is very ready. She goes with no problem when I ask her to go to the potty. She's excited about all her new undies.

Dad is the one not ready.

How do you potty train the father??? I can just bang my head against the wall until I see blood.

Junie Pasatoonie has a cold...

My boy hasn't been feeling so well lately. He been coughing like a man and dripping all weekend long. At one point yesterday he was crying miserably while sitting at the high chair. I went over to see what's wrong. I look down and notice something pink on the side of his diaper. I didn't have my contacts on so I leaned down and tried to grag it. I was a little shock when I noticed he was hanging out of his diaper. I have no idea how his bally ball was stuck outside his diaper. I immediately tucked it in and fixed him. He was fine after that. Ooops!! I'm glad his misery wasn't because of his cold.

I can never get used to having a boy.
He is so sweet though. He's been into climbing everything. Up and down off the couch all day long. He would come up and hug me but then grabbed on to climb up. Well maybe those weren't hugs just him using me...lol

I got a huge toy chest for their toys yesterday and he kept throwing toys in and helping me clean up after Amelia. It was so cute. I'm surprised I didn't find him inside the toy chest like I found him inside Amelia's toy-pack and play. It was funny to see him stuck inside it. Junior didn't think it was funny one bit.

Potty Training Update

She did it!!!!
I took her to the longest Mall in the world and no accidents. Well not the longest Mall but I'm sure she thought so...lol
Albert thought I was insane for even thinking about taking her out with no diaper. I packed extra clothes, undies and diapers incase I gave up. When we got there I immediately took her to the potty. Then I followed up every 40 minutes or so.

She's so funny. Everytime she flushed the toilet she would rush and cover her eyes. I have to remind her not to open the door if I'm going after her...lol

Of course, I did a little extra advertising at each bathroom by leaving some business cards behind.

I'm so proud of my Amelia

I took the day off today because I was feeling so sick. Junior also has a terrible cough and has the snots. I decided to make a list of things we needed in the house and I went out to run errands. I took Amelia with me. I tested her for the first time. I took her with me to Target without a diaper. We spent 2 hours at Target. She asked to go to the potty while we were there. So far its 5pm and no accidents. I'm so proud of my little girl.

I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I was just filling out my application for graduation. I am currently taking MGT 404. This one out of three classes left of this long road called "my education". I started this road in 2000. It was a great opportunity to start at the time. Deija was about 3 years old and I was working decent hours. Peirce College was only 5 blocks from work and they were flexible with their schedules. Classes were once a week for 4 hours and I had the option of taking them at night, Saturdays, or online. Most people I knew that went to Peirce had great jobs and the school looks great on a resume.

I've been taking classes ever since. I took a two year break to have Amelia and Junior but went back once I was 27 weeks pregnant with Junior. I had only needed one class to get my Associates degree but had a few classes into my Bachelors. This class ends in about 4 weeks. Then I will begin my last two classes - BUS450, and ACC401. I will finally have my Bachelors of Science in Accounting.

I cannot believe I will officially be the first college graduate in my family and probably Albert's family too. What the heck was I thinking when I decided to get my degree in Accounting?...lol How boring!! I guess its the only thing I'm good at. Next time I go back to school I'd like it to be in something fun like fashion.

Anyway, I think I will be balling when graduation time comes. I'll have my husband and children there cheering for me. This will be my biggest accomplishment next to being a mother.

One day I might be brave enough to get my CPA. But meanwhile I'll be busting my rear to get these last two classes done. I'll have to start shopping for the biggest picture frame ever for my degree...lol Wow, I won't even know what to do with all the spare time.

I will finally get to check off the college graduate box.
This degree will be dedicated to my husband and my kids. My husband for supporting me and helping me study and my children for allowing me to sacrifice alot of our time together so I can set an example for them. This is for them!! This is also for all of those people that turned me down for jobs I knew I could do. And all of those coworker who didn't feel I deserved the opportunity to have this job without a degree.

Not sure what to think...

My mom called me this morning and said she was attacked.

She said that she was coming home from dropping off her husband from work. This was at 5am. As she was sticking the key in the door a man came behind her, grabbed her and tried to shove her in the house. She said she screamed and a neighbor opened the door. The man apparently ran away.
She said the cops were called. Not sure if by her or her neighbor. She said she couldn't take a look at the man.
The cops came and drove around the block a few times and then left when they didn't see anyone.

With her history, I just don't know what to think.

The sisterhood of an online community...

I traveled all the way to Wisconsin to meet my sisters for the very first time.

We met at an online community for women experiencing the battle of infertility. At a very desperate time of my life, I needed to talk to someone who could understand and support me rather than just tell me its meant to be or to accept that we'll never have anymore children. These wonderful women listened, cried, and laughed with me just as I did for them. We have shared the joys of motherhood after infertility. Our babies are miracle babies. We've all celebrated together our babies' first tooth, first steps, first chuckles, and first sillys. We've supported each during the troubles of nursing, colic times & sleepless nights.

Who would have thought I'd travel so far to meet the women I share so much with on a daily basis? The best part was how it felt as if we've talked face to face forever. It didn't feel strange at all. They are all amazing women. 5 others couldn't make it but we will do this again in the Spring.

It feel so good to finally meet my sisters and best friends.

The way I'd love to live my life...

-Work like you don't need the money.
-Love like you've never been hurt.
-Dance like nobody's watching.
-Sing like nobody's listening.
-Live like it's Heaven on Earth.

Boys will be boys...

So I just took Junior out of his high chair. He had been sitting there since dinner time.
I noticed his pants were wet. I thought he peed through his diaper. I took off the pants and diaper and he was completely dry. The pants smelled like ammonia though. So I put him on the floor and walked over to touch the highchair to see if something had spilled.

Junior follows behind me. He squats down, farts and follows by peeing all over a cd that was on the floor. He does this all while squatting. The funny thing is how he jumped after this happened. He must have scared himself.

After I clean it up I go to put a diaper on him. Guess what I found?? Poop signs on his cheeks and I cannot find the poop anywhere. I'm sure it will end up on the bottom of my foot.

To make matters worst, as I'm typing this, he comes over with the cd he peed on and puts it right on my arm. The bottom of it was still wet. This is just lovely, Junior. Thanks so much.

By the way, I have no idea what wet his pants.

I found my old Window Live Blog

Sorry about all the OLD blog entries but I'm cutting and pasting.
I'll figure out how to archieve them and get them out of the way.
But I want them accessible so you can all see Junior's journey to the world.

My little Princess might be going to PreK soon...

So it's 9:28am and I should be working. Here I am filling out the pre-K application for Amelia. She will go on a waiting list but its possible that she can get in soon. She'll be attending the school that Deija goes to. I can't imagine my baby in her little uniform and huge backpack walking to school. Time is just flying by. In two years I'll have Amelia in kindergarten, Deija in 8th grade and Junior in pre-k. All three kids in the same school at one time. Oy!!!

So I didn't sign her up sooner because I thought she needed to be potty trained. She's potty trained but has a few accidents here and there. I guess it doesn't help that she is still in diapers most of the morning thanks to Albert. She actually walks herself to the potty and take off her diaper and goes by herself.

Amelia is the smartest little thing ever. She will tell you everything that's on her mind. "Momma, this totally fits me" is my favorite phrase from her. Everytime she sees an outfit at a store, that is what she tells me. Yesterday it was "Momma, can you please buy me a big girl bra?" This was her talking to me over the phone while I was still at work. I have to remind myself that she is only 3. Yet she's my little baby. How can she be going to school? How can she be asking for a bra??? lol

She loves to associate with other children. I know that 8:30 to 3pm M-F is not going to be too long of a day. I'm so nervous for her.

I'm going back to finish filling out her Pre-K application. Jeez, can they ask more information?? It's about 15 pages of forms.

The title says it all...

I'm here at work wondering what kinds of things I will share on my blog. I don't even know where to begin. I'll start with today. Today I am a wife, mother, student, employee, business owner, and woman. Oh and a blogger!!! I am a busy person but I'm so used to having so much going on. I wouldn't even know where to begin relaxing. I have three children. Deija {pronounced Deja like Deja Vu} (age 11) is the reason I am the person I am today. Amelia (age 3) is my miracle baby. Junior (age 1) is my wonderful sweet surprise. My children are my life. I would be so empty without them. I've been married since April 2000 to my wonderful husband Albert. Like all marriages, we have our ups and downs but our friendship is what keeps us going strong.

Throughout my blogging you'll get to know them better. They are really funny.
